8 SIMPLE RULES!

What you need to know about SPRING 2007 Fashion

1.
The Little White Dress is BACK! We saw many designers start their collections off with White, and it was done beautifully with the myriad of variations it took...from sheer to flowly to Sweet to a little edgy. The LWD (little white dress) has made its place in fashion this season!

2.
You are going to have the Blues for the Spring! With its versatility and ability to switch the modern lady from day to evening with much ease it is going to be a SIGNATURE in your wardrobe for the Spring. It can be dressed up or dressed down and the color should lay comfortablly between cobalt and royal! So get the Blues this season!!!

3.
YELLOW!!!! What an interesting twist of Yellow being a trend in olor for spring...I mean people have worn yellow for springs and summers for years but more so as a color that symbolized whimsy and bright character now it is a TREND! HOWEVER, yellow can not be done by everybody...If you are already pastey and dull in the face...either get a tan or get out of shop, boutique or store immediately because that will work for you!

4.
I love zee prints for zee hot weather! Prints are a MUST! There were lots of motifs, mostly in botanic themes. But it is being done in all different types of ways BIG FORCEFUL PRINTS, Subtle Rich and Romantic garments....Whether it is powerful or demure Black and White is the Color and PRINTS are the mood!

5.
There were many fluttery 3-D blooms, but among the best were Thakoon’s long gown with delicate petal sleeves and hem, Rodarte’s nostalgic white cocktail dress, and Phillip Lim’s versatile white tunic dress. You will be in Roses this season...Are you ready!?!!??!!!?

6.

You'll be SPOTTED this season! Polka Dots and and other arrangements of dots and spots will be all over the chicest wardrobes this season! If you love standing out for the right reasons this is one way to make it HAPPEN!!!

7.

If you keep in mind that trends exist on a pendulum, then you know the clock is ticking on those skinny pants. Trousers were floppy and flappy, especially in the crotch. A very Slouchy and Relaxed pant is what we are seeing this year! Yet surprisingly still a little tailored, but the idea is to look super comfortable, yet very fashionable.

8.

Start playing with Volume! BIG POOFY SKIRTS...Exaggerated Tops...>Big Shoulders. Go for the Hill! Big is not over yet. Last season’s layers stuck around, but they’ve lightened up in spirit and hue.
