Racism In America - Two Sides to Every Story

I am doing a survey on people and their attitude on racism. It is based around two videos, one was taken from Oprah Winfrey's 20th Anniversary DVD from a 1987 show she did on Racism in Forsyth, Georgia that had not had any black residents in 75 years and the second is from Kamau Kambon Author & Owner of Blacknificent Books and his believe of how white people want to destroy black people and his call for the extermination of White people. With the second video, please read the captions and the statements written after the video is over as well.

Please View the Videos...watch them more than once if you please. The only objective you have to gain as much clarity on what you are watching as possible. Do not try to fully understand their logic, because it might not be possible to acquire that understanding. Following that answer the questions and be honest and if you are indifferent it is OK!

I preface this by saying, that this is not a reflection of my personal views or my attitude toward racism in America; it is just my desire to understand how people view racism in America and the varied perspectives.

This survey is NOT a reflection of my feelings toward any race or group of people. This survey is my attempt to see what people's understanding of race is and racism. In addition, some may question if people would even respond honestly through this survey and the hope is that they will, but the answer is not known.

1. After viewing the videos did you think that there was any validity to the different points of view in the two videos? If yes, please state why.


2. How did these videos make you feel?


3. Mr. Kambon said that "the only niggers are white people, and we (black people) are just pretend niggers..." do you think that this statement true or false?


4. In the first video the first man that Oprah Winfrey spoke to in the audience said that their are niggers and then there are black people, do you feel like that is true? Please explain your answer.


5. Do you think there is a need to exterminate white people? If no, why not? If yes, how would that strengthen society & other races outside of Caucasians?


6. A statement was made that they (which was later referring to blacks and niggers) can not keep their neighborhoods or areas clean and well maintained. The gentleman said that he lived in Atlanta and he saw the downfall after he left and the black niggers entered the area and destroyed it and turned it into a slum. Do you think that blacks were responsible for the decline after they were bussed into the town, supposing that there was a decline? Do you also think that towns are better maintained when you have one group in that area (i.e. if there is a town with only Asians will it be better maintained because there are not any non-Asians in that town...)?


7. Do you think that there are (to avoid generalizing) white people that have an agenda to kill non-whites or destroy them? If yes, what do you believe that this need for the destruction of non whites is based around?


8. Do you think that resentment towards white people has been passed down through the generations because of the enslavement of blacks in the United States (and abroad)? If yes, do you feel that resentment is still valid now considering that those who are living now have not experienced legalized slavery? If no, what do you propose that the attitudes of Mr. Kamau Kambon and those like him are derived?


9. Do you think that everyone is in some way prejudice to other races, even if it is not as overt as the videos? If yes, why do you think this? If no, why are those people without prejudice in your opinion & are you one of those people?


10. Do you think that it is wrong & acceptable to have a city or town with its residents being only of one race allowed in that area? If yes, why is that wrong? If no, why is it right and what do you believe are the benefits of the segregated society?


11. Many races have been living together for some time now, and their still seems to be in some cases a racial divide. Do you think that it is a better situation for people to live together rather than to have many separate societies separated by race? Please explain your answer.


12. Between the two videos was their one that had any truth in it from the opposing views? Was there one that you found to be more acceptable than the other? Please explain.


13. In the town that did not have any black people in it, do you think that at that time it would be good for a black person to move there? Why or why not? Would you move there knowing the atmosphere?


14. Do you think that Oprah not letting the Black Civil Rights Leaders in the studio was a good thing? Why or why not? Do you think she only gave one side to the story by not having those civil rights leaders there?


15. Do you think that those white people from Forsyth, GA that did not have a problem with an integrated town were race traders? Do you think that the people found Forsyth, GA as place of sanctuary and purity because there was no other races there?

16. What are your feelings toward the videos, the attitudes of the participants, the survey as a whole & your feelings on racism in America?

FLAVOR FLAV: YOU SURE IS UGLY... :)

Well call me superficial but has anyone else noticed that flavor Flav isn't a good catch???? Or am I the only one who thinks he isn't that great of dude? I mean the viking hat, the loud suits I can over....but the demeanor and self expression is way over board. This man is 47 years old...how dare he have these girls fight over your old ass. I am so over this whole thing...but I can not wait for I LOVE NEW YORK TO APPEAR on VH1!!!!! Just my thoughts

NO SHADE - NEW YORK IS GREAT: FLAVOR OF LOVE

Ok...If you did not see the FLAVOR OF LOVE Reunion Special, you missed the biggest spectacle of the entire season on VH1 or any other network for that matter. First I must say that I will be recapping the show, however, my first mission is to look deep into some things that are not seen on the surface. Ok so can I talk about how I am in love with NEW YORK -aka- TIFFANY PATTERSON!!! She is so funny and she is a character but strangely she is a lady too. I know I know...you think she is a mean ruthless bitch and that might be true...HOWEVER, if you saw the reunion show, then you must have seen how she for the most part sat in her seat and smiled and talked about herself. YOU GOTTA LOVE HER! She didn't even say anything to the girls and they started screaming and getting all wild and ghetto. She was well composed and kept that sinister smile on her face! Ok so let's run down my opinion of NY and the show.

Ok! Many of those people had a problem with New York at the reunion, however, to be real (no shade) New york was the most lady like woman of all of them. Buck Wild nut ass is mad because people think she is trying to act black and LALA was about to beat her ass....I would have loved to see Buck wild get what she deserved...for being a phony ass, and throwing sneakers...had that had hit La La it would have been another show. Bootz came out there Ghetto as all hell with that nasty electric red hair, Beautiful ain't say shit all season but then she want to get gangsta with Krazy so that she can get some shine time, the one who fought on the first episode was getting crazy with New york and she never even met her before...what was that about Guess those Anger Management courses didn't work, Deelishis gonna go and put on sneakers and then gonna say she just wanted to talk...are you serious...LOL...What were the sneakers, and the speech about not having anything to say, just about what she wanted to do was a crock of bullll spit :), because then she turned around and said she just wanted to talk to her, lying ass, then krazy she was on there for her career but at least she admitted at the end, but she loses major point for trying to start a singing career without being able to sing...come on now...Throughout all of that bufoonery, New York sat her ass down on that couch with her stripper heels on and let those girls scream and holla all day and she just smiled and talked about how FABULOUS she was...the only time she got up was when the producers were pulling her into the back because those girls were acting GHETTO and TRAGIC and she was just telling it like it is "If you touch me see what happens bitch..." I mean real recognize real...she was just letting you know the deal. All of those girls can hate New York, but she has her own show, she now has men desiring her for her love and affection and the most important part is that she was there because she really was into Flava Flav. Also to be real (once again no shade) look at all of their myspace pages....Delishiss ass all out, Bootz ass all out bent over, beautiful ass all out, nibblz you already know the deal, even Buck Wild got some ass shots, CHECK OUT NEW YORK....Classic, Fully clothed...SUCH A FUCKIN LADY. Hate her all you want but the proof is in the pudding and she really doesn't have to do much for these girls to hate her. The show has been over for 4 months....and now you want to fight???? you could have fought her on ya way out the house....Delishiss, you don't have to fight anyone...you WON the competition let New York be the person she is and laugh at her while you walk into the sunset with your man...I am just saying...they could have had New York looking like Boo Bo the fool as she ranted about her fabulousness, but not she came out and just the site of her made you hurt.....now that's a Muthafucka and the mark a TRU LADY & DIVA! Give New York her respect!!!!LATA!JUST MY OPINION!

THE FINAL COLLECTIONS!! Project Runway

In order of how they showed my take on the designers final collection. This is hard me ya'll so bare with me.

Jeff - It was nice, but it looked better in pictures than when I saw the movement from it....the models for all the designers were horrid....but Jeffrey did get teh short end of the stick with the models. Also jeff did some great things as it pertains to construction of his garments, but alot of his garments were very simple..AS IT PERTAINS TO CONSTRUCTION. However, the garments were good and he gave GREAT COHESION!!!

Uli - WOW!!!!!! THAT GURL WORKED THAT SHIT OUT!!! I am not a big curser :) but in this instance she is the winner, and I am writing this before hearing the winner....The coloring was right one for me, and even if it wasn't as pulled through with that collection it was lovely. She had the right model, in the right garment, in the right order, LOVED IT!!! ULI HAD THE BEST COLLECTION OUT OF ALL OF THE COMPETITORS and I CHALLENGE anyone to disagree...HOWEVER, this is the same collection she did in Miami in March...but it was still great, and it was STILL HER!!!

Laura - Better when you saw it move! I loved the beading work, I mean she really gave you the Drama of evening wear, and what I liked most was that she WAS STILL HER!!! Laura was GREAT!!! She is definitely the one who gave the BEST SHOW, but if it were between her and Uli...no win. LOVED IT!!! Also Laura gave Luxury to the runway...Loved Uli, Jeff and Michael but Laura gave LUXURIOUS GLAM!!!!! Gotta love her for that!!!! I mean if she did all that beading and tailoring pregnant then I wonder what she could do without the baby in the belly??? Great Collection though! ALSO CAMILLA NEEDS A SPREAD IN ELLE!! SHE WORKS!!!

Michael - He gave a casual collection and it needed a little more luxury and class to make it a winner for me. If this competition was based on the WHOLE SHOW! HE IS THE WINNER without a doubt but he almost seemed Defeated in the competition...and I was mad at that....He said "I'm only 28 I mean I real new" and that is NOT how you win a competition, but he gave a collection for a woman that wanted to make a statement...but that is not every woman. So I must say as much as it saddens me...that Michael did not bring it to the show as much as I know he could have...but the COLLECTION WAS GREAT, just made for a different woman! NOT EVERY WOMAN...But I still loved it, just not the best out of the BUNCH!!! However, I must say that Michael gave garments that he loved! And he did things that he loved to do...like the cargo pockets, big belts, mini's hot pants, pants, he DEFINITELY GAVE A RANGE as it pertains to construction and his ability....LOVED HIS COLLECTION, and I think it is for the Young Girl who wants to be Fashionable, cutting Edge and still functional and Fresh....he gave a good collection and if it counts for anything it was better than WENDY's in season one...LOL!

The show as a whole...WOW!!! Loved Michael, Uli, Laura & Jeff. I think everyone showed you who they were and who they are destined to be....BAD ASS DESIGNERS!!!!! WOULDN'T YOU AGREE!

One October 18, 2006 at 10:57pm HISTORY WAS MADE!!! THE VILLAN WON!LOL

But, no I am happy for Jeff, he definitely SERVED at the Final Showing...and I was touched by his story so wheteher you love or hate Jeff, he is still the winner and rightfully so...or is he??? I actually thought Uli brought the most cohesive collection with the best perspective, but Jeff gave something edgy and took risks and gave a GREAT collection!!!! I am Proud of him! He deserves it!!!

BUT I AM STILL A MICHAEL KNIGHT FAN...EVEN AFTER THAT COLLECTION!!!!

ALso look at this collection on the mannequins! SHARP!!!!
